Our client is a well-established manufacturing company whose operations support a variety of industrial sectors. The production facility is located in Varennes, and this position is 100% onsite.

Mission

Reporting to the Procurement team, you will be responsible for managing the strategic and operational purchasing activities required to support a major manufacturing facility. Your primary focus will be on the procurement of MRO (Maintenance, Repair & Operations) parts, chemicals, industrial equipment, spare parts, and various services related to operations and maintenance.
As a key business partner to internal stakeholders, you will ensure the availability of critical materials and services while developing strong supplier relationships and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within the procurement function.

Key Responsibilities
Manage the procurement of MRO parts, chemicals, industrial equipment, and services required for operations;
Prepare and coordinate Requests for Quotations (RFQs);
Analyze supplier proposals and recommend optimal sourcing strategies;
Negotiate pricing, commercial terms, and supplier agreements;
Identify, qualify, and develop new suppliers;
Monitor purchase orders, contracts, and procurement performance indicators;
Evaluate supplier performance and manage non-conformance issues;
Collaborate closely with Maintenance, Engineering, and Operations teams to support business requirements;
Manage procurement activities with both local and international suppliers;
Coordinate transportation, Incoterms, and delivery logistics when required;
Maintain procurement data and records within SAP;
Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives and operational optimization projects.

Your profile

Qualifications
Minimum of 10 years of experience in industrial procurement;
Significant experience in MRO purchasing, industrial maintenance procurement, or chemical sourcing;
Strong background in RFQ management and supplier negotiations;
Experience working in a complex manufacturing environment;
SAP experience is considered a major asset;
Advanced Excel skills;
Solid understanding of Incoterms and international procurement processes;
Bilingualism (French and English) is required.
