Warehouse Automation Engineer

Overview  We are seeking a Warehouse Automation Engineer who will design engineering solutions for our international warehouses. You will take ownership of projects and work with diverse technologies to improve material handling equipment solutions.
Responsibilities   Design and analyze operational strategies for projects within Kramp's warehouses with a focus on material handling equipment solutions.
Conduct process and methods analysis, cost management, capacity improvement, and routing and shipment optimization.
Implement solutions effectively and oversee validation processes to meet organizational standards.
Draft engineering standards and specifications; evaluate their effectiveness.
Inspect engineering works, specify remedial actions, and ensure compliance with specifications and regulatory requirements.
Coordinate with suppliers to specify requirements, challenge solutions, monitor implementation and aftercare.
Maintain day‑to‑day relationships with contract service providers within an established contract‑management plan.
Identify shortcomings in processes, systems, or procedures and use change‑management programs to address them.
Deliver small‑scale or medium‑scale projects within a program‑management plan.
Qualifications   Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
Minimum three years of experience in automated e‑commerce warehouses, production, or consultancy roles.
Background as a mechanical engineer is an asset.
Proficiency with AutoCAD for system design.
Strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
Organizational savviness and good project‑management ability; ambition to grow responsibility.
Willingness to travel up to 10 percent of time within Europe.
