Controller, Accounting, Accounting Manager

Our client in the tool manufacturing space is looking to add a Controller, who will be a key addition to the business’s finance team. This individual will be responsible for the full cycle accounting functions of the business, a key for 2026 will also be the ability to select a new ERP and spearhead the system implementation. The role will be fully on site in Vaughan.

• Manage and direct the full cycle accounting of the business, including:
  Journal entries, reconciliations, budgeting, costing, inventory management, liaising with auditors, processing PO’s, etc.
• Spearhead the selection and implementation of a new ERP – Crucial task for 2026
  .
• Liaise with external accountants to facilitate financial statement preparation.
• Tackle ad hoc tasks as they pertain to the business needs.

• 7+ years of progressive experience, with at least 2+ years in a manager/controller type role.
• Experience with system implementations.
• Strong technical and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Exposure to cost accounting.
• Experience with in the manufacturing/distribution space is an asset.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field; CPA, CFA, or MBA is an asset.
