As a Project Accountant , you will:
Review reasonableness to understand the changes in project forecasts submitted by PM.Review costing and revenue allocations on projects.Set up and close jobs in accounting system.Assist with month end processes (primarily related to project review).Coordinate Time & Material billings, reviewing rates and mark-ups.Produce weekly reports and provide analysis support to Project Managers.Ensure understanding of admin/billing contents of the project contract.Perform other administrative and project related tasks as required.Our ideal candidate has:
University/College diploma in Accounting, Business Admin or relevant education1 – 3 years of experience in a similar role (Construction Industry preferred)Confidence interacting daily with operations team leadersAdvanced knowledge of Microsoft ExcelExperience with ERP systems (an asset)Excellent verbal and written communication skillsAnalytical and organizational skills with superior attention to detailAbility to work independently within a team environmentAbility to handle strict deadlines and work under pressureProfessional, responsive, and positive work attitudeHigh respect for confidentiality and a high level of sound and independent judgment, reasoning, and discretion
