Job Description Financial Coordinator
Location:
Concord, ONIndustry: Vehicle Transportation & Logistics Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent (In-Office)
Salary: $60,000 - $65,000 per year Benefits:
Fully employer-paid benefits package + 2-3 weeks paid vacation
About the Opportunity Our client, a family-owned and operated company in the vehicle transportation and logistics industry, is seeking a Financial Coordinator to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys working in a collaborative, small-business environment where they can make a meaningful impact on day-to-day financial operations.
This position works closely with the Financial Controller and plays a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting cash flow management, and ensuring the smooth operation of accounting and administrative functions.
Please note:
This is a full-time, in-office position. There is no work-from-home option or flexible schedule. The company is seeking an individual interested in a long-term opportunity.
Key Responsibilities Accounting & Financial Administration
* Process Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable transactions accurately and efficiently
* Support the Financial Controller with cash flow management and financial reporting activities
* Manage invoicing and monitor open orders
* Process customer payments and maintain accurate payment records
* Complete bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies
* Perform GST/HST reconciliations
* Assist with order closing procedures and financial documentation
* Work closely with carriers and customers to collect required paperwork and supporting documents
* Maintain accurate bookkeeping and financial records
Payroll & Administrative Support
* Assist with driver payroll processing
* Conduct order checks and confirmations
* Answer incoming calls and assist customers with inquiries
* Provide general office and administrative support
* Support managers and team members with additional tasks as required### Qualifications
* Previous experience in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, bookkeeping, accounting, or a related finance role
* Strong understanding of account reconciliations and financial recordkeeping
* Excellent data entry skills with a high degree of accuracy
* Strong computer skills and proficiency with accounting software
* Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial processes
* Excellent organizational and time-management skills
* Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Positive attitude and willingness to support a variety of business functions###
