Staff Accountant

About the Opportunity

• Own a full month-end and year-end close workload including journal entries, account reconciliations, and bank reconciliations across a multi-entity structure.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements and management reports, investigating and documenting variances with a focus on operational insights beyond standard actuals‑to‑budget comparisons.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with Finance, Operations, and external auditors while supporting AP invoice processing, AP/AR reconciliations, and ad‑hoc finance projects as assigned.

• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate environment, with strong hands‑on ownership of month‑end close, journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Advanced Excel skills are essential, and prior ERP experience is required; exposure to project‑based accounting environments is a meaningful asset.
• You work independently, document thoroughly, and are comfortable operating within a structured controls environment where all work is subject to review and approval prior to posting.

Must currently reside within the Greater Toronto Area and be permitted to work in Canada.

$70,000 - $75,000 per year
