Cardinal Health Canada, with over 1,300 employees nationwide, provides more than 70,000 products to healthcare facilities and medical professionals across the country. We are seeking a Senior Accountant to support our accounting team in Vaughan, ON. The role is hybrid, requiring office presence 2 days a week, and reports directly to the Manager, Accounting.
Responsibilities- Prepare monthly management P&L and balance sheet, focusing on variance to budget and providing commentary.
- Oversee supplier chargebacks, coordinate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to resolve denials.
- Enter month‑end close entries as needed.
- Review transactions and reports prepared by third‑party service provider.
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts, identify risk and potential write‑offs or releases to the P&L.
- Support cash management: prepare or oversee bank reconciliations and resolve outstanding matters.
- Communicate with Global Finance regarding inter‑company transactions and required corporate/SEC reporting.
- Conduct inventory analysis and apply inventory costing and valuation principles.
- Support the annual budget and forecasting process.
- Assist in compiling monthly internal financial reporting packages.
- Propose process improvements and solve issues, escalating as necessary.
- 3–5 years of related accounting experience (preferred).
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field, or equivalent work experience.
- CPA, CA, CGA or CMA designation preferred.
- Knowledge of SAP and Black Line advantageous.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving and attention‑to‑detail skills.
- Proficient in Excel and ability to manage large data volumes.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to partner with third parties, finance and other departments.
- Self‑starter with a process‑improvement mindset.
- Experience in medical distribution or large multinational organization preferred.

Anticipated pay range: $67,400 - $98,890. Bonus:
Yes – performance‑based annual bonus awarded at the company’s discretion.
