Financial Analyst at GFL Environmental

GFL is seeking a Financial Analyst who will join our finance team to support payroll-related reconciliations and benefit accounts analysis. You will interact with various departments, including Payroll, HR, and external vendors, ensuring compliance and transparency in payroll processing. This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency with financial tools.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare monthly payroll account reconciliations for US and Canada

• Reconcile benefit account deductions and vendor invoices

• Maintain and reconcile PTO balances across systems

• Validate union payroll calculations against agreements

• Conduct variance analysis on benefit accruals and prepare reports

Requirements:

• Post-Secondary education in Finance or Accounting

• 2–5 years of payroll accounting experience

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Workday

• Strong analytical and communication skills

• Attention to detail in financial reporting
