Financial reporting and full-cycle accounting define this Accountant contract in Vaughan, Ontario. Work onsite five days weekly within a large, multi-entity organization.
This experienced Accountant supports day-to-day accounting and financial reporting. The assignment emphasizes month-end close, quarter-end close, intercompany reconciliations, fixed assets, leases, and Excel. You will also contribute to accounting process improvements.
Key Responsibilities:- Support month-end and quarter-end close activities
- Prepare journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations
- Complete intercompany reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
- Maintain fixed asset schedules and handle lease accounting
- Prepare financial reports and supporting schedules
- Strong hands-on full-cycle accounting experience
- Experience with multi-entity accounting, intercompany, fixed assets, and leases
- Proficiency with a large ERP system and Excel
- CPA designation or progress toward completion is an asset
- Availability for a six-month onsite Vaughan contract
