Responsibilities Process employer benefit contribution reports and maintain enrollment data for benefit plan participants.
Verify contribution reports for accuracy, determine benefit plan entitlements for members, identify employer payment irregularities, initiate collection efforts, and carry out delinquency procedures.
Learn and understand the applicable Collective Agreements.
Receive employer contribution reports daily and ensure payments accurately match reported balances, audit reports, hours, rates, calculations, and additional information.
Process company adjustments on the MEBS system.
Generate and analyze various reports to identify and reconcile any company imbalances or irregularities.
Follow BPA delinquency guide for companies with outstanding balances.
Respond to inquiries from union representatives, companies, and members regarding eligibility, vacation pay, and other issues.
Assist union representatives’ inquiries regarding company and member reports.
Request and distribute cheques from the Accounting Department at month‑end.
Assist employers in completing documentation and reports for submission to BPA.
Process benefit self‑payments from members.
Review payments to ensure accuracy and follow up with discrepancies.
Enter data on remittance reports submitted by companies, when required.
Follow up with members on NSF cheques for self‑payments.
Run various monthly queries to assist in monthly reporting.
Qualifications Fluency in English and at least one of Portuguese, Spanish, or Italian.
Exposure to office administration and clerical processes related to data analysis and account reconciliation.
Proficient PC skills with strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel and Word essential).
Knowledge of accounting practices (definite asset).
Demonstrated mathematical aptitude.
Minimum secondary school graduate, post‑secondary education preferred.
Ability to organize and prioritize workload.
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
Strong interpersonal and customer‑service skills.
Ability to multi‑task, work under pressure, and meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in the group benefits industry.

Compensation The base salary for this position is between $50,000 and $55,000 annually. This represents base salary only and does not include other variable compensation.
