- Work alongside project stakeholders to pinpoint, evaluate, and prioritize potential risks at various stages of the construction project lifecycle.
- Support the creation and execution of risk management plans and frameworks.
- Help track project milestones and risk indicators, delivering timely updates to the Risk Lead and refining mitigation measures as necessary.
- Promote effective communication and teamwork between project teams, contractors, and regulatory bodies to ensure project objectives are met.
- Maintain compliance with safety protocols, management systems, and organizational values and standards.
- Gather and organize relevant documentation to support potential claims or litigation matters.
- Coordinate and organize relevant documentation in connection to insurance matters, including for claims, obtaining certificates, and coverage compliance in coordination with an insurance broker.
- Help coordinate insurance coverage, bonding, and claims management, including tracking certificates.
- Act as a liaison with brokers, adjusters, legal advisors, consultants, and site teams.
- Assist in liaising with insurance adjusters and broker(s) and sureties for bond requirements, as required.
- Assist in liaising with external legal counsel on issues related to litigation, liens, and claims.
- Provide support in drafting formal notices.
- Work with the Director of Risk Management to help identify and evaluate risks.
- Perform risk assessments on contracts and report findings along with actionable recommendations.
- Contribute to the review and resolution of construction claims, including those tied to contracts, delays, and performance.
- Assist legal and construction teams in navigating dispute resolution processes such as arbitration, mediation, and litigation.
- Review insurance clauses in contracts and subcontracts to ensure they meet project‑specific coverage needs.
- Support the handling of incidents involving bonds, insurance claims, and construction‑related disputes.
- Assist in document management for ongoing litigation and related legal issues.
- Contribute to the development of reports and processes for risk related matters as needed.

- Ability to multitask and prioritize various tasks with conflicting deadlines.
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in construction management and/or risk management is preferred.
- Experience in construction is a must.
- Minimum 2‑5 years of experience in project risk.
- Certified Risk Management Professional (RMP) or The AACE Decision & Risk Management Professional (DRMP) are desirable.
