We are seeking a highly organized and technical Building Automation Systems Project Coordinator to join the team in Vaughan. The mission of a Project Coordinator is to work closely with the project manager and provide support to aid in the successful execution of projects.
Responsibilities- Provide related administrative support to Project Managers, Project Teams, and Site Superintendents for individually assigned projects.
- Aid Project Managers in the organization and distribution of project-related documents and drawings from manufacturers, suppliers, and subcontractors.
- Perform data system entries such as setting up purchase orders for subcontractors, suppliers, and manufacturers; inputting change orders and distributing change notices to necessary parties;
- Set up and maintain project start-up binders.
- Create, log and track all necessary communication and documentation related to assigned projects.
- Negotiate and manage contracts with subcontractors and vendors where required.
- Document control of all site paperwork.
- Actively participate in operational meetings such as project delivery meetings, staff meetings, project reviews.
- Participate in project reviews to foster continuous and process improvements within Modern Niagara.
- Perform additional related duties as required under the direction of the hiring manager.
- Post-secondary education in Construction Management/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong working knowledge across Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills coupled with strong reading and writing skills.
- Clear and effective communication skills with the ability to develop long-lasting and sustainable productive working relationships with colleagues, subcontractors, and additional stakeholders associated to assigned projects.
- Driven individual with a strong sense of urgency. Comfortable in working within a deadline-driven, fast-paced environment.
- Resourceful individual with strong problem‑solving skills. Capable of managing multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
- Individual who works effectively within a team, but also on their own initiative.
- 1+ years' Project Coordination experience within the Construction or Mechanical Contracting industry is preferred.
- Previous working knowledge across project and/or construction management software’s is highly advantageous.
- Previous experience and exposures with project financial management an asset.
Expected annual compensation: $50,000 - $65,000.
