Overview
Join Valard Construction as a Safety Advisor in Vaughan, ON, focusing on risk management and compliance. You will ensure every construction site adheres to safety protocols and training standards. Reporting to the Safety Supervisor, this role is essential for maintaining safety culture among Valard's employees and contractors.
You will provide mentorship to field staff, conduct training sessions, and perform inspections to ensure adherence to the Health, Safety and Environmental Manual. Your contributions will help prevent incidents and support continuous improvements in safety practices on site.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor safety compliance across construction sites
- Communicate safety expectations clearly to all employees
- Review and assist in developing Job Safety Analyses (JSAs)
- Participate in project safety team meetings and trends review
- Conduct emergency preparedness drills and safety inspections
- Post‑secondary education in a relevant field
- 3 years of field safety experience
- National Construction Safety Officer Certification
- Experience using Microsoft Office software
- Valid driver’s license and authorization to work in Canada
