Valard Construction is hiring a Safety Advisor to support risk management and enforce safety protocols at construction sites. This role, reporting to the Safety Supervisor, involves mentoring field personnel, performing inspections, and facilitating training sessions. Your contributions will significantly improve safety measures, fostering a workplace culture committed to excellence in health and safety practices.
Key Responsibilities:
• Monitor safety compliance across construction sites
• Communicate safety expectations clearly to all employees
• Review and assist in developing Job Safety Analyses (JSAs)
• Participate in project safety team meetings and trends review
• Conduct emergency preparedness drills and safety inspections
Requirements:
• Post-secondary education in a relevant field
• 3 years of field safety experience
• National Construction Safety Officer Certification
• Experience using Microsoft Office software
• Valid driver’s license and authorization to work in Canada
