Position: Mechanical Estimator at Modern Niagara
Join Modern Niagara as a Mechanical Estimator, preparing precise tender prices based on drawings and specifications. Your expertise will foster accurate proposals while collaborating with operations and suppliers.

In this pivotal role, you will leverage your skills with a post‑secondary diploma in mechanical or construction engineering, along with at least three years of plumbing and sheet metal estimating experience. By conducting thorough quantity takeoffs and reviewing project documentation, you will ensure competitive bidding while building strong relationships with subcontractors and suppliers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review project drawings and RFIs for deviations

• Calculate costs for added or deleted work

• Obtain timely quotations from suppliers

• Perform quantity takeoffs with estimating software

• Prepare and submit bid documents accurately

Requirements:

• Post-secondary diploma in mechanical or construction engineering

• 3+ years' experience in plumbing and sheet metal estimating

• Excellent communication and time management skills

• Familiarity with estimating systems like Autobid

• Strong organizational and decision-making abilities
