Director of Estimating

Lead the high-rise estimating process at Empire Homes in Vaughan, ON. This 12-month contract requires extensive experience and expertise in cost estimating for residential construction.

Empire Homes is seeking a Director, Estimating to join the High-Rise Division. With over 10 years of estimating experience in high-rise construction, you'll manage all budget and estimating activities throughout project life cycles. Strong communication skills and proficiency in tools like SharePoint and Excel are essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create high-level construction budgets and schedules

• Update estimating cost databases to reflect market conditions

• Distribute monthly construction schedules and labour controls

• Conduct budget reviews with construction and development teams

• Continually improve Job Cost Excel programs

Requirements:

• 10+ years in estimating/quantity surveying

• Degree in Construction Management or related field

• Knowledge of construction methods and building codes

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

• PQS designation considered an asset
