Estimator – Institutional Construction Salary fully negotiable dependent on experience

Full-Time We are seeking an experienced Estimator with a background pricing institutional construction project ranging from approximately $15M to $80M.This individual will be responsible for preparing competitive and comprehensive estimates while working closely with subcontractors, suppliers, project management, and senior leadership.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare estimates for $15M to $80M institutional construction projects.

Review drawings, specifications and tender documents.

Perform detailed quantity takeoffs and scope reviews.

Develop comprehensive subcontractor bid packages.

Solicit, level, and analyze subcontractor and supplier quotations.

Identify scope gaps and ensure complete trade coverage.

Prepare labour, material, equipment, and subcontractor pricing.

Participate in bid closings and tender strategy meetings.

Identify project risks, constructability concerns, and value-engineering opportunities.

Maintain strong relationships with subcontractors and suppliers.

Participate in project handoffs from estimating to operations.

Qualifications

5+ years of construction estimating experience.

Proven experience estimating institutional projects in the $15M to $80M range.

Strong General Contractor estimating background.

Experience estimating schools, healthcare, municipal/public buildings, recreation facilities, or similar institutional projects.

Strong knowledge of construction drawings, specifications, tendering, and subcontractor scopes.

Strong quantity takeoff and bid-leveling capabilities.

Excellent analytical and numerical skills.

Experience with construction estimating/takeoff software.

Construction Management, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or related education preferred.
