About shoptravel

shoptravel is a proudly Canadian travel platform built to be more than a booking engine— your travel co-pilot, combining personalized guidance, curated discovery, and genuine human care to make every step of the journey feel personal, trustworthy, and dependable. shoptravel brings over three decades of Canadian travel expertise together with technology that helps Canadians not just book travel but feel inspired to take it.

Real expertise. Real people. A better way to travel.

About the role

Our call centre travel agents are the human voice of shoptravel— the co-pilot Canadians reach when they are planning a trip, making a booking, or need a steady hand along the way. In this role you will help travellers turn ideas into itineraries, guide them through their options with warmth and expertise, and make every interaction feel personal and dependable.

This role is fully bilingual: you will support travellers in both English and French. If you love travel, love helping people, and want to be part of a brand building something new in Canada, we would love to talk to you.

What you will do
  • Be the first point of contact for travellers across phone, chat, and email, in both English and French
  • Advise travellers on destinations, vacation packages, flights, hotels, and stays, and help build itineraries that fit their needs and budget
  • Provide clear, accurate information on pricing, availability, policies, and shoptravel features such as Flexpay and Protect Your Trip
  • Process bookings, changes, cancellations, and refunds accurately and efficiently
  • Resolve questions and issues with empathy and follow-through, escalating when needed
  • Meet service quality, customer satisfaction, and conversion targets
  • Stay current on destinations, promotions, and supplier products so your advice is always useful
  • Keep accurate records in our booking and CRM systems
  • Deliver the warm, expert, co-pilot experience shoptravel is known for on every interaction
What you bring
  • Fluency in English and French, spoken and written — required
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in customer service or a contact centre environment; travel or hospitality experience is a strong asset
  • A genuine passion for travel and for helping people
  • Strong communication, active listening, and problem‑solving skills
  • Comfort working with booking systems and CRM tools, and the ability to learn new technology quickly
  • Availability to work flexible shifts, including some evenings and weekends
  • A calm, positive, service‑first attitude
  • TICO certification, or willingness to obtain it (training supported)
Nice to have
  • Experience selling leisure travel, vacation packages, or cruises
  • Working knowledge of a GDS (for example Sabre or Amadeus)
  • Additional languages
What we offer
  • A genuine ground‑floor opportunity to help shape a proudly Canadian travel brand from the start
  • A founder‑led team, drawing on over three decades of Canadian travel expertise
  • Competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package
  • Travel perks and a workplace built by people who genuinely love travel
  • Room to grow as the company grows
