Job Description

Landscape Architecture Technologist – Markham (Hybrid)

Build the Places That Shape Communities

Start building places that matter. As a Landscape Architecture Technologist at AECOM Buildings + Places, you’ll support the design and delivery of parks, transit facilities, civic campuses, and public spaces—working alongside experienced designers and engineers in a collaborative studio environment. This is a new role for the team.

What You’ll Do

o Support project teams in the preparation of technical drawings and documentation from schematic design through tender and construction.

o Develop detailed landscape construction drawings (2D and 3D) including grading, planting, hardscape, details, and schedules.

o Coordinate drawings with multidisciplinary teams to ensure consistency, accuracy, and constructability.

o Assist with permit submissions, agency coordination, and responses to technical comments.

o Preparation of 2D and 3D presentation materials.

o Maintain organized project files and contribute to quality control and documentation standards.

Qualifications

What We’re Looking For

o Diploma or degree in Landscape Architecture Technology or a related field.

o 2+ years of professional experience supporting landscape architecture or urban design projects.

o Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit and Adobe Creative Suite

o Experience with Civil 3D, Micro Station, Sketch Up, or other 3D/BIM tools

o Exposure to public realm projects such as parks, streetscapes, transit facilities, campuses, or municipal infrastructure is preferred.

Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The range for this position is $60000 to $75000.
