Are you a compassionate leader dedicated to supporting the emotional, social, and behavioral well‑being of children? Do you thrive in collaborative, fast‑paced camp environments and have experience mentoring staff and supporting camper success? We’re looking for a Camper Care Coordinator to join Centre Camp’s leadership team and ensure every camper feels safe, supported, and fully engaged throughout their camp experience.
Key Responsibilities- Support the emotional and behavioral well‑being of all campers throughout the summer
- Develop and implement strategies to manage and prevent behavioral challenges
- Collaborate with Unit Heads and Counsellors to ensure all campers receive appropriate support
- Form camper cabin groupings each session based on age and individual needs, and adjust groupings as required
- Plan and facilitate pre‑camp training for staff, providing mentorship and coaching on behavior management and communication strategies
- Check in daily with camper groups and units, proactively offering support to staff and campers
- Maintain open, consistent communication with parents and guardians, providing updates, support, and guidance
- Document camper concerns, incidents, and progress accurately and in accordance with camp policies
- Minimum 3 years working with children or youth in a camp, school, or recreational setting.
- Post‑secondary education in a related field considered an asset
- Proven leadership or supervisory experience in a camp, educational, or childcare environment
- Excellent interpersonal, problem‑solving, and conflict‑resolution skills
- Ability to handle sensitive issues with discretion, empathy, and professionalism.
