Who we are

At Yorkville University and Toronto Film School, we believe education is more than the pursuit of knowledge – it is a catalyst for transformation. Our mission, grounded in democratizing education, is to create access for learners from every background and empower them to achieve their aspirations and advance their careers.

We are committed to delivering rigorous, flexible programs that are both personally fulfilling and professionally rewarding, while contributing to the betterment of society. Since 2004, Yorkville has been among Canada’s few private, for-profit, fully accredited degree‑granting universities, with campuses in Ontario, British Columbia, and New Brunswick. Together with Toronto Film School, we offer creative and academic pathways at both the college and university levels, cultivating a multidisciplinary environment where innovation and the arts converge.

Our community is vibrant and diverse. Many of our learners are adults balancing education with careers and personal commitments. Every member of our team – whether in teaching, operations, or technology – is dedicated to removing barriers and expanding access. Together, we deliver flexible, industry‑informed learning that leads to meaningful opportunities.

At our core is human connection – guiding people to reimagine their futures in a community defined by opportunity, creativity, and growth.

Who we need

Yorkville University has launched our new Master of Business Administration (MBA) program, a flexible, career‑focused graduate degree designed to empower professionals with the strategic, analytical, and leadership skills needed to thrive in today’s competitive global marketplace. Offered online and in‑person at our Steeles campus in Ontario, the program supports working adults with year‑round enrollment, multiple annual intakes, and the option to graduate in as few as two years.

The curriculum emphasizes critical thinking, ethical decision‑making, and global business strategy, taught by faculty with extensive academic and professional experience. Graduates emerge equipped to lead teams, drive innovation, and advance into senior roles across sectors, including finance, marketing, operations, and entrepreneurship.

To support the successful launch and continued growth of the MBA program, we are hiring Sessional Faculty members to teach our core courses Sustainability Management Impact and/or Ethical Leadership and Organizational Culture, depending on professional expertise and scholarly interests. You will deliver modern, engaging, and fully developed course material. You will assess student performance and create a positive and inclusive learning environment aligned with our mission of championing student success.

This posting is for a new vacancy. Sessional Faculty are required to work evenings and weekends, delivering courses synchronously online or on site at our Steeles campus in north Toronto, beginning May 2026. We will be moving to a new site at 120 Bloor St E, Toronto in late 2026. Sessional Faculty would be expected to teach from that site for in class sections.

Recognition and career development. Yorkville is a forward‑thinking, innovative university where faculty are visible and influential. This is a reputation‑building role with real‑world impact — focused on meeting the diverse needs of students, disrupting traditional MBA programming, and fostering true collaboration. You will join a place that inspires change, supports faculty and students alike, and continuously innovates. As part of a newly launched program, you will play a pivotal role in advancing Yorkville’s academic mission while building your own profile as an educator and thought leader.
