JRoots is actively seeking four part-time teachers for the upcoming 2026/27 academic year, specifically targeting education for elementary grades. Successful candidates will utilize creative and age-appropriate lesson plans to inspire students, maintain communication with parents, and provide progress reports throughout the year. You will also engage in community activities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans for students
• Maintain a positive classroom environment promoting learning
• Monitor and report on student attendance and progress
• Participate in staff meetings to improve educational practice
• Actively volunteer for JCC community events
Requirements:
• University degree required
• Ontario/Israel teaching certification (preferred)
• At least two years teaching experience
• Familiarity with Jewish traditions and culture
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
