Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Abacus Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in fostering children's mathematical skills through engaging and interactive teaching methods. This role offers an opportunity to inspire young learners, develop their cognitive abilities, and promote a love for math and learning in a supportive classroom environment.
Duties- Conduct engaging abacus and math lessons tailored to students’ age and skill levels
- Develop customized lesson plans that incorporate abacus techniques, math concepts, and computer-based activities
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to encourage improvement
- Create a positive, encouraging classroom atmosphere that motivates students to participate actively
- Incorporate technology and computer skills into lessons to enhance learning experiences
- Collaborate with parents and colleagues to support student development and address individual needs
- Maintain organized records of student attendance, progress, and assessments
- Adapt teaching strategies for students with special education needs or different learning styles
- Prior experience working with children in an educational or tutoring setting is preferred
- Strong knowledge of math, abacus techniques, and basic computer skills
- Classroom experience or background in teaching or tutoring math is highly desirable
- Familiarity with special education practices or experience working with children with diverse learning needs is a plus
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage young learners effectively
- Passion for teaching, patience, and creativity in lesson planning
- Basic understanding of computer science concepts is advantageous but not mandatory
- Relevant certifications or training in education or tutoring are preferred

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
