Shape young minds as a Long Term Occasional (LTO) Grade 5/6 Teacher with the York Region District School Board until January 29, 2027. Engage students and make a meaningful impact in their education.

This is an exciting role where you will be serving as a homeroom teacher for Grade 5/6 classes within the York Region District School Board. Candidates should hold or be in the process of obtaining qualification with the Ontario College of Teachers (OCT). This role emphasizes a commitment to student success and fostering a diverse learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop engaging lesson plans tailored to student needs

• Monitor and assess student progress regularly

• Create an inclusive classroom atmosphere

• Collaborate with colleagues for best practices

• Communicate effectively with students and parents

Requirements:

• Ontario College of Teachers qualification (in process accepted)

• Strong teaching references required

• Satisfactory police record check needed
