Position: Grade 3 French Immersion Teacher Role
Become a crucial member of YORK CATHOLIC DISTRICT SCHOOL BOARD as a French Immersion Teacher for Grade 3, effective September 2, 2026. Help cultivate French literacy among young learners in a supportive setting.

At Blessed Trinity CES, you will be responsible for teaching primary students while utilizing your strong French language skills. Candidates should have a commitment to diverse teaching methods and should be experienced in promoting effective literacy and numeracy in the classroom.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement engaging lesson plans in French

• Assess student progress and adapt teaching for diverse needs

• Collaborate with other educators in a classroom setting

• Incorporate Accelerated Integrated Method (AIM/Gestures) strategies

• Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment

Requirements:

• FSL - Part 1 or relevant French qualifications from OCT

• High proficiency in both oral and written French

• Experience teaching in Primary and/or Junior grades

• Knowledge of Balance Literacy practices

• Passion for fostering a collaborative learning atmosphere
