Manufacturing Engineer, Operations Manager
This posting is to backfill an existing position within the organization that is essential to our operations.
Key Responsibilities Operational & Technical Leadership- Work closely with site managers and teams to keep operations running safely and efficiently.
- Lead key infrastructure and process projects – from layout redesigns to machine upgrades.
- Evaluate and recommend new equipment and technology to boost productivity and reduce downtime.
- Analyze production data to identify waste, inefficiency, or safety risks – then fix them.
- Optimize workflows and help standardize best practices across all sites.
- Collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams to develop preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
- Lead small-scale capital projects from concept to commissioning.
- Use data and analytics to guide investment and operational decisions.
- Lead a team of operators, technicians, and coordinators setting clear goals and expectations.
- Be assertive, decisive, and supportive a coach who motivates and holds others accountable.
- Build a culture of problem-solving, innovation, and teamwork.
- Act as the bridge between operations, engineering, and leadership bringing technical insights to strategic decisions.
- Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering (MBA or business training an asset).
- 5–8 years of experience in manufacturing, industrial operations, or plant engineering.
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems, production lines, and heavy equipment.
- A natural leader — assertive but collaborative, analytical but practical.
- Strong business sense with the confidence to recommend capital investments or process changes.
- Desire and aptitude to grow into senior operational leadership over the next few years.
- The position is performed in an indoor/outdoor environment.
