Hybrid (2 days on-site / 3 days remote)
ContextThe department is experiencing a high workload due to multiple new projects and requires support for system planning activities.
Responsibilities- Perform electrical engineering analysis, implement modeling, and develop tools for distribution system studies.
- Prepare long-term load forecasts and system capacity assessments.
- Propose system expansion projects to ensure adequate capacity for system needs.
- Complete system capacity studies, growth demand analysis, and long-term forecasts.
- Implement and oversee processes to capture, verify, and analyze asset attributes and performance.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and system developments for impact and customer use.
- Assist in developing innovative energy solutions with other business units.
- Address present and future system needs for capacity, reliability, and asset planning.
- Conduct system development evaluations and benchmarking to ensure capital investments meet performance standards.
- Perform and update engineering and technical system planning studies considering traditional and emerging solutions.
- Experience in planning within a utility company.
- Proficiency with ETAP or PSS/E software.
- Electrical Engineering degree.
- AutoCAD experience.
- PMP certification.
Tools/Software: ETAP, PSS/E, AutoCAD, Python
