Civil​/Structural Technician​/Technologist

JML Engineering Ltd. is looking for a Civil/Structural Technician/Technologist with a minimum of 5 years experience to join our team. We are looking for a driven candidate who would like to put their technical training to good use in a design setting. As a Technician/Technologist at JML Engineering you will be responsible for the design/drafting of Bridges, Wharfs, Dams, Buildings, Stormwater Management, Sewer and Water, Parking Lots, Health and Safety Structures, Construction Engineering and more.

We have a well-rounded compliment of projects on-going, and you will work as part of a knowledgeable, supportive team that will allow you freedom with support to elevate your technical and drafting skills.

Our office is based in Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada. This is an on-site job. No remote work option is available for this position.

Civil or Architectural Technician or Technology Diploma.

Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD software by Autodesk.

C.Tech. or C.E.T. Designation with the Ontario Association of Certified Engineering Technicians and Technologists (OACETT), or be working towards a Designation.

Strong technical skills with steel, concrete, timber, masonry.

Civil design skills such as parking lot design and sewer/water design.

Architectural design skills such as building envelope design and site design.

Contract Administration experience would be considered an asset.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Valid drivers licence.

Eligible to work in Canada.
