Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm (Hybrid, flexible hours available). Pay: $55,000 – $70,000 annually.

About the RoleThe Project Coordinator provides project and operational support for engineering and product development activities within a fast‑paced automotive environment. This role works closely with project managers, engineering teams, suppliers, and cross‑functional departments to help coordinate schedules, track project progress, manage documentation, and support day‑to‑day project execution. The successful candidate will play an significant role in keeping projects organized and on schedule by supporting communication, follow‑up activities, reporting, and engineering change processes.
This position also assists with prototype and testing coordination, supplier communication, and other project‑related activities to help ensure customer and program requirements are met. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively across multiple teams and priorities are essential for success in this role.
- Support engineering projects by coordinating schedules, deliverables, and communication between internal teams and external suppliers
- Track project progress, monitor risks and open issues, and support timely resolution to help maintain project timelines
- Maintain project documentation and reporting, including meeting minutes, action items, KPI tracking, status updates, and engineering change records
- Assist with prototype builds, validation activities, engineering changes, and launch preparation activities
- Coordinate meetings, technical reviews, and follow‑up activities to support effective project execution
- Support procurement and tracking of prototype parts, tooling, and testing equipment, including assistance with supply or logistics‑related issues
- Help ensure compliance with internal procedures, customer requirements, and automotive quality standards such as APQP, PPAP, and FMEA
- Diploma or degree in Business, Project Management, Engineering, or a related field
- 2–5 years of project coordination or related experience in automotive, manufacturing, or engineering environments preferred
- Understanding of product development processes, engineering documentation, and change management
- Familiarity with APQP, PPAP, and FMEA is considered an asset
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management tools such as MS Project, Jira, or Smartsheet
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across multiple teams and stakeholders
- Japanese language skills are considered an asset
- Must have own vehicle and a valid Ontario G driver’s license
