Quotation Specialist – Power Transformers

Northern Transformer Corporation is a Canadian‑owned, fast growing manufacturer of power transformers and mobile substations. Our team delivers transformers of the highest quality through superior design, quality workmanship and attention to our clients’ individual needs.

Due to the growth of our business, we have an opening for a Quotation Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 5‑10 years of experience with high voltage equipment, technical sales and/or electrical engineering. The Quotation Specialist will directly interact with clients and prospects as well as the Northern electrical design team to generate quotations based on the client requirements.

In addition to managing quotations, the Quotation Specialist will gain profound knowledge of all aspects of the business to best support Northern Transformer and its clients.

• Work with clients and prospects before, during and after the sale.
• Manage, track and create quotations.
• Document and manage a client’s or prospect’s technical requirements.
• Work with engineering team to ensure products meet specifications.
• Conduct technical presentations for clients and prospects as needed.
• Maintain records of all client/prospect interactions in internal system.
• Attend and actively participate in trade shows, conferences and marketing events as needed.
• Prepare Electrical and Mechanical specifications and drawings
• Assist in preparing engineering designs for new transformers.

• Electrical Engineering degree
• Some experience in related field will be an asset.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Highly motivated individual with the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Must be capable of effectively and accurately working on several projects at one time.
• Good organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks in a fast paced environment.
• Must have the ability to complete the assigned tasks in the time allotted with minimum supervision.
• Knowledge of CSA C88, ANSI / IEEE C57, or IEC standards desirable.
• Strong computer skills including AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Products.
