About the Role
Reporting to the CI Manager, the CI Engineer will be responsible for leading continuous improvement initiatives and supporting production processes from start to finish. Working closely with engineering, production, and quality teams, you will analyze workflows, identify inefficiencies, and implement improvements to enhance productivity, quality, and cost performance within a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Continuous Improvement & Process Optimization
Lead and implement continuous improvement initiatives across production
Analyze process flow, cycle times, and throughput to identify inefficiencies
Identify bottlenecks and capacity constraints and implement improvement strategies
Perform standardized work studies and drive cost-saving initiatives
Implement error-proofing and problem‑solving methodologies (KATA, PDCA, PFMEA, SQDCI)
Production & Operations Support
Support production teams in optimizing equipment utilization and efficiency
Coordinate throughput improvement efforts and capacity planning activities
Maintain and update production processes, revisions, and improvements
Assist with new product launches in collaboration with R&D and operations
Data, Reporting & Documentation
Maintain KPI dashboards, charts, and performance metrics
Develop and maintain SOPs, work instructions, and job instruction sheets
Track and maintain equipment lists, numbering systems, and documentation
Configure reporting and support data analysis for operational decisions
Layout, Safety & Ergonomics
Coordinate plant layout for equipment, materials, and storage optimization
Assess operator utilization and improve workflow efficiency
Evaluate ergonomic conditions and implement improvements
Identify and coordinate the elimination of safety hazards
Collaboration & Project Coordination
Work cross-functionally with engineering, production, and quality teams
Support new business initiatives and project-related activities
Lead equipment specification development and selection processes
Maintain communication with internal teams and stakeholders
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical, Industrial, or related field
Minimum 3+ years of experience as a Process or CI Engineer in manufacturing
Strong knowledge of process flow, automation, and mid‑to‑high‑volume production
Experience with continuous improvement methodologies (KATA, PDCA, PFMEA, SQDCI)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills
Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross‑functionally
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently
