What will you do?
Lead disciplined problem resolution process in response to customer, internal or supplier quality related issues.
Participate in the APQP process in the development of the overall quality plan to ensure customer and internal requirements are satisfied.
Prepare and / or support customer PPAP submission deliverables.
Lead and / or participate in customer visits and audits as required.
Plan and execute internal process audits to ensure the capability and effectiveness of the process satisfies defined requirements.
Lead Material Review Board (MRB) activities for timely disposition of parts.
Possesses the authority to stop production, stop shipment, quarantine material; and any other action deemed appropriate to prevent/detect the existence of defective parts (i.e., protect the customer). Any such decisions may only be overruled by QA Management.
What will you bring?
Engineering Degree or 3-year Technology Diploma
Minimum of 3 years automotive manufacturing experience including APQP and PPAP’s
Experience interfacing with customers
Working knowledge of core quality tools including APQP, PPAP, SPC, FMEA and MSA
Working knowledge of statistical techniques and applications
ASQ CQE Certification
Proficient in technical report writing.
Able to perform basic dimensional inspection & measurement techniques.
Basic knowledge of inspection and test equipment including torque transducers, load cells and air gauge columns
Ability to read and interpret Engineering Drawings including a strong understanding of GD&T
Demonstrated understanding of problem-solving process using various tools and techniques
Strong interpersonal and business communication skills
Work independently or with others.
Proficient using MS Office
Travel as required; maintain valid passport
Additional Information
Compensation: $70,000 - $90,000
