Position: Client Advisor - Luxury Retail Sales, Full Time

Position Summary

Fire Alarm Systems Estimator & Designer – responsible for preparing accurate quotations and occasional design work for fire alarm, life safety, security, and low‑voltage systems. Based in Vaughan, ON, this full‑time role reports to the Sales Manager and works with cross‑functional teams including project management, sales, and suppliers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Produce material and labour take‑offs from drawings to develop accurate quotations.
  • Provide project design packages, riser diagrams, shop drawings, data sheets, and battery calculations.
  • Review and understand job specifications and drawings.
  • Follow the estimating process to develop competitive bids.
  • Communicate with clients to gather information, clarify specifications, and wording.
  • Coordinate with salespeople to close bid reviews.
  • Occasionally attend site or tender walk‑throughs to cross‑reference drawings and identify proactive solutions.
  • Coordinate with sub‑contractors and suppliers to obtain pricing to include in final quotation.
  • Attend scheduled Sales Manager meetings to discuss product, codes, and issues.
  • Collaborate with the project management team to create processes and guidelines for the growing department.
  • Attend and contribute to product training seminars and monthly sales meetings.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Diploma or degree in Engineering Technology, Construction Management, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 2–5 years of experience in estimating, design, or drafting within construction, fire protection, electrical, or a related industry.
  • Experience with fire alarm, life safety, security, or low‑voltage systems is an asset.
  • Knowledge of NFPA, local building/fire codes, and applicable standards.
  • Experience working in a growing department or helping establish processes and best‑practice.
  • Experience preparing quotations and bid submissions for commercial/industrial projects.
  • Familiarity with tender processes and documentation.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to attend occasional site visits/tender walk‑throughs.
Compensation & Benefits

Competitive salary: CA $90,000 per year (negotiable based on experience). Benefits include group insurance, a company RRSP program, and a positive working environment.
