Join AECOM as a Principal Engineer in Tunnel Practice, located in Markham, Ontario. This hybrid position focuses on delivering design solutions for complex tunneling projects in urban areas.
As a Principal Engineer, you will act as a Deputy Design Manager responsible for coordinating multidisciplinary tasks on deep sanitary sewer tunnels. Candidates should possess a strong technical background in underground structures and a proven record in design management, particularly for water conveyance infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
• Coordinate multidisciplinary inputs for tunneling projects
• Organize work plans and deliverables for project teams
• Mentor junior engineers on numerical modeling
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
• Prepare contract documents and design methodologies
Requirements:
• BA/BS degree with 6+ years of relevant experience
• Must hold or be eligible for P.Eng. in Ontario
• Solid experience in geotechnical and structural analysis
• Knowledge of water conveyance tunneling projects
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
