Mechanical Designer for Sustainable Buildings

As a Mechanical Designer, you will work closely with senior staff to design and deliver mechanical systems vital for sustainable buildings. This role emphasizes the development of detailed models and drawings and requires collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. Your contributions will influence multiple sectors while ensuring technical precision from concept to construction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare mechanical drawings using AutoCAD and Revit

• Assist in creating comprehensive drawing packages

• Design HVAC, plumbing, and fire-protection systems

• Perform load calculations for heating and cooling

• Coordinate effectively with project teams and vendors

Requirements:

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field

• 3–5 years in BIM modeling and mechanical design

• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit

• Experience in healthcare mechanical systems is a plus

• Strong understanding of building codes
