Senior Mechanical Designer Mass Spectrometry

Lead mass spectrometry hardware design at SCIEX in Concord, Ontario, using electromechanical engineering and CAD expertise in an on-site role.

As a Senior Mechanical Designer, you will own mechanical design from concept through commercialization and sustaining. You will develop advanced analytical instrumentation with scientists and engineers. The work includes prototypes, testing, GD&T, DFx, and product documentation.

• Design mechanical technologies for current and next-generation mass spectrometry products
• Translate requirements into functional prototypes through hands-on development
• Deliver CAD models, GD&T drawings, analyses, and bills of materials
• Track issues, schedules, and design milestones through project completion
• Support quality, reliability, manufacturability, and cost improvements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent discipline
• 10+ years designing high-technology electromechanical systems and subsystems
• Proficiency with industry-standard 2D/3D CAD tools
• Strong knowledge of ISO GPS and/or ASME GD&T principles
• Experience with DFx methodologies, DFMEA, and design workflows
