Role Overview
The Inside Sales position enhances customer and co-worker experiences by delivering customer order support, providing timely product knowledge, collaborating across departments and proactively growing sales territory.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Customer Service, Order Management, and Sales
Manage and process customer orders and quotes (phone, email, walk-ins) with immediate responses, ensuring accurate pricing, stock availability, and delivery requirements for assigned customers
Follow up on open orders, quotations, and requests to maintain an updated order report
Build and maintain customer relationships, offering product knowledge and assistance
Troubleshoot and resolve customer issues, including completing Customer Complaint forms as needed
Support team members and assist with customer care issues at the order desk
Organizational Collaboration and Documentation
Coordinate with other departments and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and pricing
Assist in contract bidding by preparing RFQ/RFT documents using system and Excel
Provide MTR, CRN, and Statutory Declaration documents as required, and work with Procurement and Vendors to secure non-stock products
Recommended Qualifications
Knowledge/Skill/Ability Requirements
Excellent organizational and multitasking skills with a keen attention to detail
Strong problem-solving, prioritization skills, and time management abilities
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to remain composed under pressure
Strong teamwork skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with other departments
Excellent customer service skills; striving to meet or exceed customer expectations
In-depth knowledge of plumbing, hydronics, and industrial PVF
Strong computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Products (i.e. Word, Excel, and Outlook) and Adobe Acrobat
Experience & Education
2 years minimum in a Counter Sales role in the plumbing industry
High School Diploma or equivalent
Previous experience in the construction industry is considered an asset
Physical Demands/ Working Conditions
Position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle high-pressure situations calmly and effectively
