It is a fast-paced, high‑volume role for a credit and collections professional who is equally comfortable negotiating and helping customers.

What You'll Do

  • Follow up on overdue accounts and prioritize your efforts to choose the most effective approach
  • Negotiate payment arrangements and follow up on missed commitments and invalid claims
  • Recommend accounts for credit hold, legal or third‑party action to the Director of Credit to limit bad debt exposure
  • Reconcile customer accounts, including applying unapplied credits and cash
  • Keep detailed records of collection actions and customer correspondence
  • Be the point of contact for cash application, including payment allocation and follow‑up on unresolved debit notes and invoicing disputes
  • Request adjustments and corrections as needed
  • Respond to customer account queries promptly and professionally, and work with other departments to resolve issues
  • Educate customers on payment terms and billing and payment options
  • Build strong relationships with customers
  • Partner with the sales team to resolve disputes and aging accounts
What You Bring
  • 3-5years of credit and collections experience in a high-volume environment
  • Strong dispute resolution and negotiation skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Strong organization, prioritization and time management, with close attention to detail
  • Customer-focused and results-driven, with a professional approach
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word and Outlook) and proficiency with an ERP system
  • CCP designation, or enrolment in the CCP program, is an asset
