Support safe patient care through equipment decontamination, reprocessing, and sterilization as a Medical Device Reprocessing Technician with Mackenzie Health.
This position requires experience with complex surgical instruments, low temperature sterilization, and medical terminology. You will apply professional judgment while following best practice guidelines. The work includes instrumentation and endoscope processing, infection control, and aseptic principles.
Key Responsibilities:- Decontaminate equipment, supplies, and instrumentation
- Reprocess and sterilize medical equipment and instrumentation
- Clean, inspect, test, package, and sterilize instrumentation
- Perform high level disinfection of endoscopes
- Manage workload and resolve issues respectfully
- Secondary School or equivalent
- Completed accredited Sterile Processing Technician Program or equivalent
- Two years’ experience with complex surgical instruments
- Experience with Low Temperature Sterilization
- Computer experience and medical terminology knowledge
