Position Summary

This role will support Manufacturing Leaders by leading full cycle recruitment, employee relations, performance management, compensation, training initiatives, and general HR business support. The successful individual will have experience as an HR generalist, be versed in leading‑edge HR practices, and work in a team environment to enhance the organization’s human resources delivery with a focus on quality, timeliness, collaboration, communication, and providing positive solutions to difficult problems.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for full‑cycle recruitment including job posting via Success Factors (and approved advertising platforms); focused sourcing via Linked In; receive and review all applications; create shortlists based on phone pre‑screening and manage interview schedules with Corporate Hiring Managers;
    Manage candidates through SF system to ensure consistency in the process. Maintain all pertinent applicant and interview data.
  • Prepare draft employment offers and new hire packages for review and approval. Lead the background check process and ensure consistency for all new hires.
  • Manage onboarding program for new Corporate hires via Click Boarding platform.
  • Be a key driver in executing the business strategy, implementing human resources programs supporting business initiatives within the Manufacturing group by effectively communicating to all Manufacturing Leaders, participating in manufacturing meetings and providing daily staff interaction.
  • Ensure record retention, new hire documentation of manufacturing employees is entered accurately into Success Factors and kept current; complete stay interviews and exit interviews analyzing metrics and produce report for the HR Scorecard.
  • Provide expertise, guidance and coaching to Manufacturing Leaders in managing highly sensitive and complex employee relations matters (performance improvement, progressive discipline, terminations, respectful workplace etc).
  • Provide administrative support and produce HR related letters for manufacturing staff (new hire letters and packages, progressive discipline letters etc); provide accurate and timely data on manufacturing headcount and attrition.
  • HR program communications, invoice approvals, employee inquiry correspondence, coordination of meetings, etc.
Other Responsibilities
  • Proactively work with the HR team on various projects and initiatives.
  • Support monthly and quarterly reporting as required.
  • Conduct research relevant to department mandate and priorities.
  • HR events planning.
  • Participate and contribute to HR Learn & Share meeting series to drive adoption of best practices.
  • Special projects as assigned by HR Manager or Sr. Manager, HR.
Special Skills Required
  • Undergraduate degree in Human Resources/Business or equivalent combination education and experience is required.
  • Canadian Human Resource Professional designation (CHRP) would be an asset.
  • 3-5 years of progressive generalist human resources experience.
  • Broad human resources technical skills with specific strengths in recruitment, onboarding, and employee relations.
  • Thorough knowledge of legislation and regulatory rulings impacting human resources.
  • Strong financial and business acumen, an understanding of the needs of the business and the ability to link policies and programs to the business objectives.
  • Strategic capability, proven critical thinking and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule – will be required to provide support to a 24/7 manufacturing facility.
