What We Are Looking For

Your drive for excellence, curiosity for learning and entrepreneurial spirit will be cornerstones of your success. Here’s what else we’d love to see:

  • Post‑secondary education in human resources, payroll or accounting
  • Minimum of 1 year working in an administrative or coordinator capacity, preferably in a customer‑facing role
You’ll Stand Out if You Bring:
  • Experience in human resources and/or exposure to payroll principles and processing
  • A self‑described tech‑savvy expert, specifically in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, chart and graph creation, etc.
What You’ll Be Doing Each Day Payroll Administration & Support
  • Administer biweekly and hourly payroll
  • Post the payroll accounting journal entries and prepare monthly G/L account reconciliations for liability accounts (benefits, union dues, CPP & EI, WSIB, etc.). Support Corporate and Division accounting teams in variance‑to‑budget analyses.
  • Respond to payroll inquiries from the P&C team and/or employees—provide clear and accurate information on pay statements, deductions and leave payouts
  • Support year‑end payroll process (such as preparing tax documentation)
  • Support the annual budget and quarterly forecast payroll updates in the company budgeting system
HRIS Administration (Dayforce HCM)
  • Ensure all employee data is accurate, up‑to‑date, and entered correctly into Dayforce including new hires, terminations, changes, and other HR transactions.
  • Create, manage, and distribute reports for 3rd‑party system data feeds.
  • Manage the monthly P&C data reporting and dashboard analytics
  • Act as a first point of contact for HRIS‑related questions, providing user support, and deliver training and support documentation to the P&C team and end‑users.
  • Assist with system updates, module rollouts, and troubleshooting technical issues. Participate in systems analysis, system testing and implementation of new features and integration data feeds to third‑party systems
  • Maintain compliance with data privacy regulations and internal controls, and validate data integrity, and data security access
