Job Description & How to Apply Below

Alphabyte Solutions is an industry leader in end-to-end data solutions, specializing in application development, data warehousing, reporting and analytics, digital advisory, and artificial intelligence. Founded in 2015 and headquartered in Vaughan, ON, we partner with public sector and enterprise clients across North America to simplify the complex and mobilize the power of their data — helping organizations make the business decisions that matter.

The Role

We are looking for a Digital Advisor to join our growing advisory practice. In this role, you will lead and support end-to-end consulting engagements — from discovery and current-state assessment through to recommendations, roadmaps, and client presentations. You'll work across a range of clients spanning both the public and private sectors — including municipalities, provincial agencies, post-secondary institutions, construction firms, healthcare organizations, and enterprise businesses.

This is a hands‑on advisory role. You'll be expected to own deliverables, facilitate workshops, engage senior stakeholders, and translate complex operational and technical findings into clear, actionable recommendations.

What You'll Do
  • Lead Current-State Assessments: Conduct stakeholder interviews, process mapping, system inventories, and data architecture reviews to build a clear picture of the client's existing environment.
  • Facilitate Workshops: Lead structured sessions with executive, departmental, and technical stakeholders to surface pain points, validate requirements, and build alignment around future‑state priorities.
  • Conduct ERP Evaluations: Assess enterprise systems and lead options analyses, including vendor comparisons, capability‑gap matrices, and five‑year total cost of ownership (TCO) modeling.
  • Develop Roadmaps and Future‑State Designs: Translate findings into phased implementation plans, integration strategies, data migration playbooks, and change management frameworks.
  • Assess Governance, Privacy, and Security: Evaluate data governance practices, privacy compliance (PIPEDA, PHIPA, FOIP/ATIPP), and security posture, and deliver prioritized recommendations.
  • Produce High‑Quality Deliverables: Author current‑state reports, requirements catalogues, options reports, and final strategic plans that clients trust and act on.
  • Present to Senior Stakeholders: Communicate findings and recommendations clearly to leadership teams, steering committees, and Council‑level audiences.
  • Manage Project Work streams: Track milestones, coordinate with internal team members and client contacts, and keep engagements on schedule and on budget.
What We're Looking For
  • Public and Private Sector Advisory

    Experience:

5+ years in digital consulting or IT advisory, with demonstrated experience leading engagements across both public sector (municipal, provincial, or federal) and private enterprise clients.
  • ERP Knowledge: Hands‑on familiarity with ERP systems — particularly Microsoft Dynamics GP, Dynamics 365 (F&O or Business Central), or comparable platforms — including implementation, assessment, and migration contexts.
  • Process Mapping and Documentation: Strong ability to map and document business processes through swim‑lane diagrams, process flows, and integration maps that are clear to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Proven ability to conduct executive interviews, lead cross‑functional workshops, and manage competing priorities across large, multi‑department organizations.
  • Data and Systems Literacy: Familiarity with multi‑system environments spanning CRM, ERP, BI, finance, and HR tools, and the ability to assess how data flows across them.
  • Report and Presentation Writing: Able to structure and write clear, polished deliverables — from detailed technical assessments to executive‑facing slide decks — with minimal oversight.
  • Privacy and Governance Awareness: Working knowledge of Canadian privacy legislation and data governance frameworks relevant to public sector engagements.
  • Nice to Have: Experience with Microsoft Azure, Power BI, SharePoint, or M365; familiarity with platforms such as Salesforce, Net Suite, Tableau, or sector‑specific tools; PMP, Agile, or change management certification.
What Success Looks Like

In this role, you'll be able to walk into a complex client environment — one with legacy systems, fragmented data, and competing stakeholder priorities — and bring structure, clarity, and momentum. You produce deliverables that clients trust and act on, and you manage your work streams without needing constant oversight.

What We Offer
  • Meaningful, varied work with public sector and enterprise clients across Canada
  • A collaborative team with deep expertise in Microsoft technologies, ERP, data, and security
  • Competitive compensation commensurate with experience
