Information Technology Student
Job Responsibilities
The IT Student helps and supports the IT Department members in several different areas including first level support calls and tickets from the user community on all facets of the IT system as well as any help required from the other administrators and development staff in the facility.
- Troubleshoot computer/printer/network problems both in person and remotely.
- Provide assistance to the production floor support staff for hardware issues.
- Manage helpdesk ticketing system and ensure calls are received, distributed, and closed out.
- Test and troubleshoot retired hardware to determine recycling requirements.
- Set up and configure new computer equipment for the user community.
- Assist in managing the company cell phone and tablet fleet and MDM solutions.
- Any other tasks required by the IT manager or delegates.
- Enrolled in a post-secondary degree or diploma in an IT program.
- Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills; punctual, independent, and tolerant.
- Capability with current versions of Microsoft software packages and operating systems.
Compensation: $20-22 per hour.
