Summer Data Governance Intern

Position: Summer Data Governance Intern Role
Embark on a summer internship as a Data Governance Intern with 407 ETR in Woodbridge, ON. Engage in real projects, mentorship, and learn vital skills in data management.

This position in the Information Security department allows hands-on experience supporting enterprise data initiatives. Collaborate with data stewards on documenting processes, create materials for governance forums, and enhance data quality using SQL and Python. This role is perfect to enhance your problem-solving abilities while juggling various team priorities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the creation and maintenance of data catalogues

• Document data elements and business rules collaboratively

• Prepare presentations for governance meetings

• Oversee metadata onboarding for current data sources

• Validate data sets using SQL and Python tools

Requirements:

• Currently enrolled in a relevant data or analytics program

• Knowledgeable in SQL; familiarity with Python preferred

• A strong interest in data governance practices

• Experience with cloud computing, specifically AWS

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
