Principal Consultant​/Solution Architect

We re looking for a Solution Architect, or as we refer to  Principal Consultant  to join our team as one of the senior technical voices across both internal delivery and client engagements. This is not a disconnected design role, you ll be in the build, guiding implementation teams, enforcing standards, solving hard problems, and sitting across from Directors of IT explaining why an architectural decision makes sense for their environment.

You ll lead architecture across municipal Salesforce implementations — from pre-sales discovery through go-live, covering solution design, data models, integration patterns, automation strategy, and security architecture.

• Defining scalable, maintainable architectures for municipal service domains including 311, permitting, licensing, inspections, field service, and citizen portals
• Making and defending platform decisions:
  Omni Studio vs. Screen Flows, declarative vs. custom development, managed packages vs. custom builds
• Producing architecture documentation, data flow diagrams, technical specifications, and solution design materials
• Participating in discovery workshops, technical demos, RFP responses, and scoping exercises
• Acting as technical lead during delivery — guiding developers, reviewing implementation quality, supporting QA and UAT, and identifying technical risks before they become problems
• Contributing to MuniPaaS s internal frameworks, accelerators, and architectural standards that improve consistency across every client engagement
• Staying current on Salesforce Public Sector Solutions, Omni Studio, Agentforce, and AI-assisted service delivery — and helping the team determine how emerging capabilities actually apply in municipal environments

• 9+ years of hands-on Salesforce implementation experience, including time in a Solution Architect or Technical Lead capacity
• Deep working knowledge of Salesforce Industries (any vertical), Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, and Omni Studio / Vlocity
• Experience with Salesforce Dev Ops tooling:
  Gearset, SFDX, source control, and deployment pipelines
• The ability to lead a technical discovery session, produce clear architecture documentation, and explain a complex platform decision to a non-technical stakeholder — all in the same week
• Strong written communication — you can produce specs and solution narratives that actually help delivery teams and hold up in a formal procurement process
• Certifications such as Application Architect, System Architect, Platform Developer II, or Service Cloud Consultant are an asset — but delivery track record and technical judgment matter more

• Experience working in municipal, regional government, or broader public sector environments
• Familiarity with Salesforce Public Sector Solutions (PSS)
• Experience with Agentforce and AI-assisted service delivery
• Integration experience with ESRI / ArcGIS, Maximo, or field workforce management systems
• Experience responding to technical RFPs in a government procurement context
• Hands-on work across municipal service domains: 311, permitting, inspections, enforcement, public works, or asset management
• Background in a small consulting firm or highly cooperative delivery environment
