The IT Manager provides leadership and operational oversight for Modern Niagara Building Services' Information Technology function, ensuring reliable, secure, and efficient technology services that support business operations across the organization. Working closely with the Corporate IT Director and Corporate IT team, this role leads the local IT and Helpdesk team while managing day-to-day support, infrastructure, technology assets, security compliance, and local IT initiatives.

The IT Manager plays a critical role in enabling employees and business operations through dependable technology, responsive support, and strong technical leadership. By ensuring secure, efficient, and standardized IT services, this role helps minimize operational disruption, supports organizational growth and integration initiatives, and advances Modern Niagara's long-term technology strategy.

- Lead and develop the local IT and Helpdesk team while fostering a responsive, customer-focused support environment.
- Strengthen organizational technology capabilities by maintaining secure infrastructure, supporting corporate initiatives, and driving continuous improvement.
- Lead the day-to-day operations of the local IT and Helpdesk team by setting priorities, coordinating workloads, mentoring team members, and monitoring service performance.
- Serve as the primary technical leadership contact for local IT operations while collaborating closely with the Corporate IT Director and Corporate IT team.
- Act as the escalation point for complex or high-priority technical issues and ensure timely resolution.
- Provide technical support for hardware, software, networking, operating systems, and end-user technologies.
- Monitor helpdesk performance, ticket volumes, response times, and service levels while identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Deploy, configure, maintain, and support desktops, laptops, mobile devices, peripherals, and other technology assets in accordance with Corporate IT standards.
- Maintain accurate inventories of hardware, software, licensing, and technology assets.
- Coordinate hardware lifecycle planning, equipment refresh programs, and technology deployments.
- Ensure compliance with Corporate IT policies, cybersecurity standards, patch management, endpoint protection, and user access controls.
- Manage employee onboarding and offboarding processes, including technology provisioning, equipment deployment, and account management.
- Support local infrastructure initiatives, organizational integrations, and technology modernization projects while identifying operational risks and dependencies.
- Collaborate with Corporate IT to support infrastructure improvements, system integrations, and strategic technology initiatives.
- Assist with vendor relationships, software licensing, technology procurement, and budget planning.
- Maintain accurate documentation within the IT ticketing system, including issue resolution, remediation activities, and service records.
- Prepare and communicate regular reporting on helpdesk performance, service metrics, open issues, and team activities.
- Identify opportunities to improve IT processes, user experience, operational efficiency, and technology reliability.
- Travel to Modern Niagara locations across Canada as required to support business operations and technology initiatives.
