Position: Summer Internship Program 2026 - Supply Chain Intern

Ideal for students studying:
Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Operations Management, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or related programs.

Supply Chain Interns at Byng support the coordination and execution of outsourced manufacturing, and material flows across active field deployment programs. You will work closely with the Supply Chain, Operation Services and Field Services teams to help ensure materials, trades, and resources are available on time and aligned with project needs. This role provides hands‑on exposure to supply chain operations within a fast‑paced field services environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the outsourced manufacturing process, including creation of AutoCAD drawings, purchase orders, vendor follow‑ups and delivery confirmations.
  • Help monitor supplier performance, including on‑time delivery rates, accuracy, and responsiveness, escalating issues as needed.
  • Work closely with Field Services, Ops Services and Logistics teams to align material requirements with project schedules and site needs.
  • Maintain and update supply chain tracking tools, dashboards, and databases to ensure accurate and real‑time information.
  • Participate in coordination calls with vendors and internal stakeholders, taking notes and tracking action items.
  • Assist in identifying and resolving supply chain disruptions such as delays, shortages, or incorrect shipments.
  • Support data analysis related to material usage, forecasting accuracy, and cost trends to identify opportunities for efficiency improvements.
  • Help maintain documentation including purchase orders, delivery records, supplier agreements, and inventory reports.
  • Contribute to post‑project reviews by analyzing supply chain performance and documenting lessons learned and recommendations for improvement.
