The Technical Buyer at Northern Transformer is responsible for sourcing components that meet technical specifications while fostering effective collaboration across Engineering, Production, and Logistics. Your expertise will not only support cost optimization but also ensure timely delivery of materials vital to transformer manufacturing. Active involvement in supplier relationship management is essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and verify BOMs for sourcing accuracy

• Negotiate cost-effective supplier agreements for quality outcomes

• Issue purchase orders correlating with project timelines

• Develop a diverse global supply base

• Collaborate with suppliers to resolve quality concerns quickly

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in a technical or business discipline

• At least five years of manufacturing procurement experience

• Familiarity with ERP systems, ideally Epicor ERP

• Strong analytical and negotiation skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Office Suite
