Maintenance Mechanic
Job Overview
The Maintenance Mechanic’s primary responsibility is to carry out maintenance repairs, PMs, and equipment modifications related to production processes and facilities. This responsibility will be accomplished by following proper food safety, Health and safety procedures, and maintenance administrative procedures (e.g. filling out work order and PM information).

Key Responsibilities- Perform all planned maintenance (Preventive & Predictive) assigned in a timely manner and use CMMS to log all planned, reactive and emergency activities.
- Repair and capture detailed root cause and countermeasures of breakdowns and communicate effectively to management and peers.
- Ensure effective and timely on‑floor support to the maintenance department members, including regular, off‑shift and weekend coverage as required.
- Assist in the ongoing improvement of the work order system.
- Work with the maintenance and engineering team to implement permanent solutions for equipment and process problems.
- Support the effort to develop and document maintenance procedures, one‑point lessons, and implement a competency‑based training program.
- Work as a team member on small and large technical projects.
- Perform additional work as required.
- Licensed millwright (e.g., 433A), Technician or Technologist degree or diploma related to maintenance/engineering, with preference to electrical, mechanical and robotics specialization.
- Ability to work with CMMS; conduct and complete planned maintenance tasks, complete work orders, and generate work orders.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven and high‑intensity environment.
- Strong communication, learning and teaching skills.
- Strong team player.
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical periodicals, procedures, engineering drawings and government regulations.
- Highly motivated and capable of conducting root cause analysis to identify permanent countermeasures.
- Strong computer MS Excel skills including the ability to gather, analyze and present information and working knowledge of MS Office suite of programs.
