Janitoral Worker

This role provides janitorial services in a large, modern data center, ensuring that office spaces, common areas, restrooms, and technical environments remain clean, safe, and well-maintained. The position focuses on routine cleaning, floor care, and trash removal, with occasional work performed outdoors.

• Sweep, dust, mop, and perform general cleaning in office spaces, common areas, and data center environments.
• Empty trash and recycling containers throughout the facility and transport waste to designated disposal areas.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, including toilets, sinks, mirrors, floors, and dispensers, while maintaining adequate supplies.
• Maintain cleanliness in data center areas by following established procedures and respecting equipment and restricted zones.
• Perform occasional outdoor trash removal and general exterior clean-up as needed.
• Support floor care tasks such as sweeping, mopping, and basic floor maintenance, following safety and equipment guidelines.
• Follow all safety procedures, including the use of required footwear and personal protective equipment.
• Report any maintenance issues, safety hazards, or supply needs to the appropriate contact in a timely manner.
• Work effectively during assigned shifts and assist with additional cleaning tasks or overtime as needed.

• At least 6 months of experience in janitorial, housekeeping, general production, warehouse, food service, or manufacturing roles.
• Industrial or janitorial experience with a focus on maintaining cleanliness and safety standards.
• Basic floor care skills, including sweeping, mopping, and general floor maintenance.
• Ability to follow cleaning procedures and safety guidelines in a large facility environment.
• Capability to perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, bending, lifting, and carrying trash or cleaning equipment.
• Reliability to work a consistent 2nd shift schedule and support occasional overtime needs.

• Floor care experience, including more advanced floor maintenance, is a plus.
• Experience working in large facilities, industrial settings, or similar environments is beneficial.
• Comfort working in a partially constructed or evolving facility environment.

You will work in a large, brand-new data center environment that offers a clean, modern setting and the opportunity to be part of a growing operation. The schedule provides a consistent 2nd shift with defined hours, along with the potential for overtime when available. The role offers stable, hands-on work where your attention to cleanliness and safety directly contributes to a professional and well-maintained facility.

This position is based in a large, brand-new data center located in Mount Pleasant that is still under construction. You will work on the 2nd shift from 2:00 pm to 10:30 pm, with one opening on a Tuesday Saturday schedule and one opening on a Sunday Thursday schedule. Some overtime may be required based on facility needs. The environment includes office areas, common spaces, restrooms, and data center floors, as well as occasional outdoor areas for trash removal.

The facility requires the use of steel toe or composite toe boots as part of the dress code to ensure safety in an active, partially constructed setting.

This is a Contract position based out of Woodbridge, ON.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
